These earrings are the first in a series of jewelry inspired by the wonderful song "release me" by the swedish band "Oh Laura" Turning these earrings from idea to reality may have been the most challenging thing I ever made jewelry wise. I really tried to give the impression of wilderness bursting out from it's cage, being released. The wire wrapping in this piece is very intricate and the earrings consist of 22 pieces of hand formed wire wrapped together with a really thin silver wire. The cages have been oxidized and polished to provide an antique look and enhance details. Inside of the cages I have stuffed loads of gemstones of various shape and colour. They really shine through wonderfully. Out of the cage hangs various gemstone beads of different shapes such as marquises, pears and rondells. The earrings are then hung from sterling silver ear posts.

Materials: Deep Red Ruby Faceted Onions (6x8mm), natural Chalcedony faceted rondelles, AA golden Citrine micro-faceted rondelles, Peridot smooth roundelles, sterling silver wire, 14K Gold Filled wire.

First snow has just covered the hills and I can see in the town shops the very first preparation for Christmas. Baubles, candles, golden and red ornaments and lots of nuts and spices - all of this put me in a wintry-Christmassy mood. In my home country my husband’s Grandmother would prepare a special cranberry jelly to be enjoyed on 24 December, the Vigil night. One can eat it with some custard flavored with natural vanilla or cinnamon. Thinking of this delicious dish I wrapped the Cranberry In Snow earrings, one of my new “Swirl” designs. The Ruby onion briolettes are of the freshest and sweetest cranberry size and colour. They are accompanied by icy-snowy, cloudy white natural little Chalcedony. Each earring is flavored with a bit of cinnamon - the golden sparkly Citrine, with a touch of 14K Gold Filled wire and also with tiny little round Peridot.

Description: These very organic autumnal earrings have been made from scratch with sterling, fine silver and brass wire. Below the rustic hand-made focals (1.5 cm) hang gorgeous large (17x17mm) polished Cognac Quartz biolettes adorned with beautiful clusters of green and brown tourmaline, light citrine, claret garnet and sunny sapphire rondelles. The earrings have been oxidised and hand-polished.
